10/10 experience. I've had hot pot before but it was personal sized with ingredients already chosen for you and no sauce bar. This spot had EVERYTHING you could want for any diet. I went with a few pescetarians and we had no issues. We ordered two soup bases, a tom yum base and a mushroom base. Both great but Tom yum stood out omg. We ordered mostly veggies but the meat ordered was SOOOgood. I loved the options at the sauce bar and on the menu. You ordered via the iPad and it had anything you could dream of! The staff was so accommodating and sweet as well. Always willing to explain and help when you needed it. Hot pot is such a nice communal experience that slows you down and let's you socialize and spend quality time with friends and family. Highly recommend.

Had amazing food, and the service was just amazing. The second I stepped in I was immediately greeted by the employees, and they were very nice and polite to everyone. The ambience was very pleasant, not too loud and not too quiet either. I'd love to come back again.

This is a super fun hot pot place that is delicious and entertaining at the same time. Hot pot is one of my favorite things to eat, but where I live in Nashville, there are very few places that have vegetarian broths. It was super refreshing to come to Chicago and find this place to eat for dinner. The vibe is awesome. Music is great. Everyone seems to be having a really fun time. The wait staff is super sweet and helpful. One of the best sauce bars I have ever seen for a hot pot place. I think I went back three times to get edamame. I got one of the spicy broth and a mushroom broth, both of which were vegetarian. Added in some tofu, some bok choy, and some udon noodles, and had a really great dinner. Free ice cream to top it all off. And that robot... I need one of those at home.

So.. was not a hot pot person bc of an experience I had in Dallas. This place changed my mind, if that counts for anything! The service was wonderful. Everything is so efficient, and the place itself is very clean/ organized. We had a large group so was worried about the process, but things went smoothly. We ordered two broths; a spicy Szechuan and the Tom Yum. We also ordered a ridiculous amount of beef (all extremely good quality) and almost every vegetable they have. Again, service was fast. You can create your own dipping sauce from a buffet spread of choices- sesame oils, garlic, chili oils, etc. Prices are defiantly mid range, we prepared to spend if you have an appetite. However, it's worth the price in my opinion. If you sign up for their membership (free) you get discounts and such too.

This is place is pretty good. However, we were disappointed that we could not order the Dancing Noodles as the only chef who could do them had already left for evening. I can't really comment on the flavor or the cooking as you do both yourself so that's on you. The price is right though.

Chicago, here is another great hotpot spot for you to check out and it's definitely one of my new favorites! There are so many options of meats, seafood, veggies, sides, drinks and desserts. Ordering is done at your leisure from the iPad at your table, and if there is something that you need assistance with, everyone is so willing to stop and help. There are descriptions of the food items as well which is very helpful. I got to try some Chinese adult beverages and the waitstaff (including the awesome manger - Pearl!) explained how to best enjoy the drinks. I really liked that each customer is given an apron to keep their clothes from getting dirty as they indulge, and the tasty broths and sauces that they create. And what's even cooler, is that at the sauce bar there are different, unlimited fruits and snacks. There are cool deals being offered for the new year like getting 15% off of your parking taken from your food bill; how awesome is that? Don't take my word for it, pay them a visit and indulge in some delicious hot pot! Enjoy!

It is a great place to enjoy hot pot in a cold winter evening. It is located right adjacent to the convention center. I saw it on my way walking back from Chinatown last night, so decided to give it a try. My friend bailed out on me after a long day at the conference. I made a huge mistake by choosing two soup bases. The hot pot has four quadrants for various soup bases when you have a party of four. Dining by myself, I only need one soup base and rest could be water with dried dates and goji berries. They charged $6.49 for each soup base. They also self-serving bar with various appetizers, fruits, desert soup and all kinds of dipping sauces. I ordered fish filets, fish tofu and Yu Choy tips. It was really enjoyable except lack of companion. Definitely come back with a bigger party and choose my ingredients more wisely. .

Can't believe it took me this long to finally try out Hai Di Lao and literally had the best service ever. It is such a fun experience that I feel like everyone has to try at least once if you're a hot pot lover! They also have code words you say to the workers and you can get free snacks/toys! It's fun getting everyone in your party to try out a code word. My go to soup base is the Tom yum!! I love their sauce bar and it's fun watching them do the dance when you order the dancing noodle. I went here again for my birthday and had the best serviceeee. The workers were super kind and attentive. They had this cute set up with birthday decorations and the workers even offered to take group photos for us which was great.
